Church records have John Joe (not sure if he is the junior) dying on Jan. 26, 1874 of old age, and listed as "col'd." He was 81, which, if accurate meant he was born in about 1793. John Joe and John Joe Jr. have many entires in John Lyon Gardiner's Account Book no. 2.
