Biographical Notes

Freed. John L. Gardiner account book, 1821, page 34?: "Pomp a coloured man," obtained sundries on two occasions and four shillings on another. His debt to Gardiner was 5|9|7, which he settled (date not legible) with sundries of value 2|18|7 and a promissory note for 2|11|0. A Pomp, likely the same person, died between January and mid-July in 1829.
