Biographical Notes
Tabitha's baptism entry includes information added at a later time, causing confusion over her family assignment. The entry identified her mother as Dorcas, enslaved by Peter Halliock (inserted); her father as Jessedoes [probably Jesebaum].
Dorcas, enslaved by Peter Hallock bore children by her husband, Pomp, enslaved by John Corwin. See #470 and #471.
Jesebaum, enslaved by Widow Hutchinson, fathered children with a woman named Dorcas, but her enslaver was never identified by name in the records. See #1706.
More information is needed before assigning Tabitha to Pomp and Dorcas's family or Jesebaum and Dorcas's family.
